Gorilla, Chimpanzee & Golden monkey permit costs. For example, an average primate safari tour to Uganda includes trekking to see Chimpanzees, Golden Monkeys, and Mountain Gorillas. Gorilla permits cost US$ $700 per person, and chimpanzee permits cost $200. A golden monkey permit costs $100 per person. Once you have walked in the forest and found these primates, actual viewing time is limited to one hour.
That said, you could opt to spend more time with these primates up-to 4 hours. For instance you could choose the exclusive Mountain Gorilla Habituation Experience. This exclusive 4-hour gorilla permit is available only from one trail head at $1500 per person!
This up-close encounter allows you to move with the gorilla habituation research team for most of the day. Once you get to find the gorillas, you are allowed to be with the gorilla family, viewing their behaviors, feeding, and bonding for among for a minimum of 4 hours.
It is possible to have Chimpanzee habituation ($250), Gorilla habituation ($1500) and Golden Monkey habituation ($140) included in your safari tour itinerary.
Lastly, if you decide on an organised tour, your operator will add in cost of transfers and overland transportation to the different national parks.

Flying safari cost
A medium Uganda flying safari package costs between $550 - $850 per person per day, with an average rate of $660 per person per day. A luxury Uganda flying safari package costs between $740 - $1150 per person per day, an average rate of $850 per person per day. The price guidelines include all accommodation, internal flights, overland transfers, activities, and gorilla/ chimp tracking permits. These rate guides are also based on a group of two people traveling, larger group rates decrease in cost per person.
