The Spectacular Murchison falls on River Nile:

Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest is dominated by the mighty Victoria Nile, which bisects the park via a seven-meter-wide rocky cleft before dropping 43 meters over the Western edge of the Albertine Rift. Offering river cruises, game viewing drives and guided walks, it ranks as one of the most exciting wildlife experiences Africa has to offer and is the place to see hippos and crocodiles.

Experience Primates in abundance

If you are passionate about primates, you will just love Uganda. There are 12 different species of monkeys here from the Colobus to Golden Monkeys. The Grey Cheeked Mangabey. Uganda is also one of the top places in the world to see chimpanzees in the wild. Trekking to find them on foot through forest and jungle or spotting them from your safari car is a lifetime privilege of their company within their natural habitats. Primates are abundant in Bigodi swamp sanctuary at the edge of Kibale National Forest, Kalinzu forest, Bwindi Impenetrable, and Mgahinga National park are some of our favorite forested spots for this walking adventure.

Trek to see Mountain Gorillas in the forest – Uganda’s natural wonder

This is one of those lifetime wildlife encounters of all times. As you trek through the jungle the level of anticipation builds. Meeting these gentle giants up close, you nearly forget to breathe. This is a privilege everyone should trek to experience. Of the few thousand mountain gorillas that remain on earth, over half of them live in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable and Mgahinga National Parks; and so precious are they that many people book their gorilla viewing permit years in advance, which makes the shy and gentle Mountain Gorillas, earth’s largest living primate and Uganda’s most famous tourist highlight.

Safari by boat

Uganda has countless water safari wonders to explore. For bird watchers, a canoe trip to see Shoebill in Mabamba Bay on Lake Victoria. An early morning boat ride on River Nile downstream to Lake Albert allows for an intimate river safari experience, sunset viewing of crocs, hippos, and birdlife on the Nile river, or sundown cheese and wine on the Nile. A slow safari journey by boat on the Kazinga channel in Queen Elizabeth national park is one of the most amazing animal-birdlife encounters you’ll wish to experience in your life. This possibly compares to the river cruises on the Chobe river.

Stunning birds

With almost 1080 bird species, Uganda is a dream location for watchers of these beautiful creatures. The behaviors, flight patterns, calls, and interactions of Uganda’s birds are completely fascinating from the bee-eaters that make their homes in the lime cliffs by the Nile at Murchison to the pre-historic rare shoebill found among the swamps, the giant, scavenging Maribu storks, and tiny yellow weaver birds to the twinkling blues of a host of starlings the birds alone are worth coming to Uganda for. A tribute not only to her fertility but also to the diversity of her landscape.

Rich Cultural Tapestry

Human presence in Uganda goes back over 500,000 years and her cultural history is rich in song, dance, music, theaters, and art. Her cuisine is as eclectic as her many ethnic groups and handcraft ‘finds’ include traditional backcloth, painted gourds, basketwork, pottery, carvings, spears, and traditional drums. Heritage aside, the capital city Kampala - i known for its vibrant night life. 

Uganda is dominated by the expanse of Lake Victoria, the world’s second-largest freshwater lake.
