An early morning boat ride on River Nile downstream to Lake Albert allows for an intimate river safari experience, sunset viewing of crocs, hippos, and birdlife on the Nile river, or sundown cheese and wine on the Nile. A slow safari journey by boat on the Kazinga channel in Queen Elizabeth national park is one of the most amazing animal-birdlife encounters you’ll wish to experience in your life. This possibly compares to the river cruises on the Chobe river.

The behaviors, flight patterns, calls, and interactions of Uganda’s birds are completely fascinating from the bee-eaters that make their homes in the lime cliffs by the Nile at Murchison to the pre-historic rare shoebill found among the swamps, the giant, scavenging Maribu storks, and tiny yellow weaver birds to the twinkling blues of a host of starlings the birds alone are worth coming to Uganda for.
