4 days Masai Mara Big 5 Safari is one of the thrilling Kenya Safari packages that features all the Big 5 Kenya Safari, In the Mara, the wildlife is abundant and the swaying grasslands ensure that animals are never out of sight. Elephants browse amongst the large herds of wildebeest, topi, gazelle, eland, and buffalo. The plains offer a rich variety of food for the dominant predators: lion, leopard, hyena, and cheetah. In the Mara River, hippos submerge while crocodiles sunbathe on the riverbanks.
From July to September, rain depending, the Masai Mara is host to the famous Masai Mara wildebeest migration which is one of the few remaining mass migrations of mammals in the world. During this time herds of over a million wildebeest will trawl their way through this region and they become the major focus for predatory activity and drama unfolds at every corner.
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara Game reserve
Early morning departure from Nairobi for the scenic route to Masai Mara, via Narok town; pick-up from your hotel in Nairobi. Drive through the floor of the Great Rift Valley with a pit stop at View Point for a breathtaking view of the rift valley.
- Game drive en route to Fairmont Mara Safari Club; arrival in time for lunch
- Game drive in the late afternoon
Accommodation: spacious tented rooms with an adjacent private bathroom with a solar-heated shower.

Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve – Safari
Full day to explore the Masai Mara vastness, game driving in search of the Big Five, with picnic lunch under the shade of an acacia tree.
Accommodation: same as day 1
Meal plan: full board (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)
Optional activities:

Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve – Safari
Early morning and late afternoon extensive game drives, with in-between meals and siesta in the camp.

Day 4: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Early morning game drive at sunset
Departure for Narok after breakfast, game drive en-route with last views of Masai Mara.
Lunch ‘on the road’ to Nairobi
Arrive in Nairobi in the (late) afternoon, drop off at your hotel, or transfer to Airport for connecting flight.
