Giving Back – Chigo Tours Africa Ltd

Giving back to the destinations we visit is at the heart of what we do. Chigo Tours Africa  is creating a difference in local people’s lives – people who stay close to sites we visit.

Educational support. When you book a trip with us, Chigo Tours Africa donates $10 to buy a computer for pupils, particularly girls in rural primary schools in Uganda – to learn basic computer skills and get inspired. These computers are serviced and maintained by Click Uganda a local an organization that engages volunteer travellers to teach basic computer skills to pupils in rural primary schools.

The future is digital, and so computers will continue to dominate more and more of our lives. By giving a $10 dollar donation to computer purchase and training, we believe we are creating more possibilities for these rural pupils to catch up with the current trends in technology

Welfare support. For every traveller that books a tour with us, we give a $5 donation to support orphaned children with food and basic sanitary materials for girls at Ruhija Community Orphanage School, Kabale near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
