What to expect – 1 Day Jinja City tour – Sezibwa falls and Mabira forest Uganda: Itinerary
7 am; meet your private guide at your hotel. Transfer by private car heading to Jinja City, eastern Uganda.
Pass by Namugongo Martyrs shrine and Museum, probably Africa’s most important place of Christian pilgrimage.
Stop at Sezibwa falls; this nice little stop on the way to Jinja city tour, is hidden by the sugar plantations. After 50 minutes on the Kampala-Jinja highway is Kayanja trading center turn right onto a murram road and drive for another 1.5 km before you reach the falls.
Sezibwa means ‘it can’t be blocked’, an amazing cultural site with a lot to see and do for nature lovers. Learn about this legend involving twins and its cultural significance for the local Buganda kingdom.
Enjoy an hour sightseeing walk giving you a chance to learn about the many tree species surrounding area. 20 butterfly species to be seen here.
